Dr. Martinez is a seasoned Ophthalmologist specializing in glaucoma treatment and cataract surgery.
He earned his medical degree from the University of the East Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center (UERMMMC). He did specialty residency training in Ophthalmology at the East Avenue Medical Center QC and completed sub-specialty Glaucoma Fellowship Training at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital in Melbourne, Australia. He also garnered an MBA degree from the Ateneo Graduate School of Business.
Dr. Martinez currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Provision Eye Care Network and Head of the Glaucoma Section at the East Avenue Medical Center, St. Luke’s Medical Center Global City and Galileo Surgicenter.
He is a former President of the Philippine Glaucoma Society and former Councilor of the Philippine Academy of Ophthalmology.
His main practice and research areas of interest include Angle Closure Glaucoma, Micro-Invasive Glaucoma Surgery (MIGS) and Premium Cataract Sugery. He has been practicing and teaching Glaucoma and Cataract surgery for more than 25 years in both public and private sectors.
