Dr. James Michael Jacomina is a board-certified Ophthalmologist specializing in cornea, cataract, and refractive surgery.
He earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Santo Tomas in 2017 and completed his Residency Training in Ophthalmology at DOH eye center in East Avenue Medical Center in 2022. He obtained his Diplomate of the Philippine Board of Ophthalmology in 2023.
Dr. Jacomina has advanced training in corneal transplant techniques, including ALK, DALK, DSAEK, and DMEK surgery, having completed the Advanced Corneal Surgery Course at the Singapore National Eye Centre (SNEC) in 2023.
He completed his Refractive Surgery Fellowship at the Asian Eye Institute under Dr. Robert Ang in Makati City, where he specialized in laser procedures such as LASIK and PRK, Implantable Collamer Lens (ICL) implantation.
His current professional focus involves Ophthalmic surgical innovation, technological advancements and research in eye care, and continuously enhancing his surgical skills through workshops and specialized training courses.
