Dra. Erika Jean Salvame-Siopongco is a Vitreo-Retina Specialist dedicated to providing expert and compassionate eye care, with a strong focus on diseases of the retina and vitreous.
She earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of the East Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center (UERMMC) and completed her postgraduate internship at the Philippine General Hospital (PGH). She then underwent her Ophthalmology residency training at Manila Doctors Hospital. She later pursued advanced subspecialty training in Vitreo-Retina through a fellowship at the Department of Health Eye Center – East Avenue Medical Center (DOH Eye Center – EAMC). She later topped the Retina Fellowship In-Service Examination.
Dra. Salvame-Siopongco is an active member of several respected professional organizations, including the Philippine Academy of Ophthalmology, the Asia-Pacific Association of Cornea and Refractive Surgeons, EURETINA, and the Philippine Medical Association.
She currently serves as the Head of the Philippine Network of Young Ophthalmologists and as Co-Chair of the Philippine Academy of Ophthalmology Research Committee. She has won several surgical video competitions and has presented multiple papers and surgical cases in both local and international conferences. Through these roles and achievements, she continues to advocate excellence, innovation, collaboration, and leadership among the next generation of eye specialists.
